In memory : Terry the Maltese

This is gonna be a sad sad post. No, Terry's not dead.

Mom woke up this morning, to her horro, Terry poop in his sleeping area, and even stepped on it. So she washed and scrub the area and bathe Terry before going out in the afternoon to do some Christmas shopping. Mom then went to get a pack Natural Balance kibbles, donated by a kind lady for Terry. She headed back home in the night, to find Terry pooing in his sleping area AGAIN! So she did the whole process of cleaning up again, little did she know, this would be the last time she's cleaning up after Terry.

Terry the Maltese was being fostered by AuntyS, without the knowledge that the so called "rescuer" is putting him up for sale of $300 instead of an adoption. Terry came into Mom's hands as AuntyS did not know how to deal with a dog who:

1. Lies on his own waste
2. Does not have a good appetite
3. Cowers in a corner when she approaches
4. Has bad ear and eye condition

Here are some pictures of Terry @the vet when Mom 1st took him
His eyes could only be half opened due to infection

His very bad teeth...

...and ears

Because of him, Mom had to travel up and down, to SPCA and the place where AuntyS lives. The "resucer" made live hell for AuntyS, banged on her door and sent threats smses. In the end we offered to pay her, the "rescuer" for Terry, but she refused to accept cheque payment.

After a few days, she, the "rescuer" made another police report, along with the REAL owner of Terry, as they had a stronger evidence, Mom had to surrender Terry over, else there'll be a never ending case going on.

Mom was real sad when she bade Terry goodbye at the police station, afterall, Mom did put lots of effort into making Terry a real dog. Now Terry knows how to
1. Runs up and down excitedly when he sees Mom taking out the food bowl or leash
2. Is almost 100% outdoor trained
3. Able to eat kibbles, without having to tempt him with canned food
4. Responds to Mom when she asks him to come

Although sometimes, erm, most of the time I dislike having other dogs in my house, I will sure miss Terry, he brought me peace too, as Jordan started disturbing Terry ever since he came, so there, I had more time on my own with Mom, and my lovely bed alone!!

I do hope Terry would be in good hands now. Seeing Mom so worried about him, I promised her to pray for Terry tonight before I go to bed.

Dear Lord, I pray that you will watch over Terry every minute, every second, let him be merry wherever he is right now, let him be a good dog, a lovely companion for a human, treated as a family member, to be loved and cared for. Lord, I pray that he will be fed well with all kinds of good and nutritious food, brought down for long walks and have a cosy little corner for a goodnight's sleep. Also, not forgetting, tolet him be able to to live like a dog from now on, with confidence and self esteem, never allow him to be like what he was in the past. In your name I pray, Amen!

Terry, We'll miss ya!!

(I really do miss Terry, hope he's fine wherever he is right now. Sobs.)

Itchy itchy!

Itchy.. Itchy.. Scratch.. Scratch.. Chew.. Chew.. Lick.. Lick..

Yes, that is what I was, and am doing nowadays. Am not sure if it is the
1. damp weather or
2. the changed of food or
3. neem oil was taken off in our weekly shower or
4. Mom did not blow dry me totally after shower

It must be 4 ! I'm sure you doggy friends out there agrees with me. Let me show you a couple of pictures of the icky looking dried up blacky scabs and the bald patches on me.

Shame on you Mom, making me itch and scratch! You better do something about this fast! I wanna look good at the party in WCDR[west coast dog run] on the 23rd.

Now that Christmas is rond the corner, I shall, LIST down my wishlist for all to see. *wink*

1. I want to be fed more! At least twice the amount that I'm being given at the moment

2. I want more frisbee! Silly Mom always, yes! ALWAYS forget to bring home my frisbee when we go for outings

3. A doggy stroller that can sit both Kuku-boy and me. Alrights! I admit, Mom made me put this down. I don't understand why she wanna bring us out, yet not allowing us to walk! :P

4. Lastly, I hope that all the homeless doggy out there would find a good home, to be loved and cared for[including Happy, the Maltese Mom is fostering now]

Fort Canning Park

This evening, Mom and Aunty J decided to walk us at Fort Canning Park instead of the Riverside. So off we went, exploring the area we've never been to.

Here's me, waiting patiently along the roadside for Aunty J to arrive.
After a 10 minutes wait, Aunty J finally arrived! Yippee!! Here's me, viewing out from the Ferrari, the humans like to call it the 'Fur-Lorry'.
Upon reaching, we were so excited that we walked so fast that the humans had a hard time catching up, especially when climbing up the flight of stairs.

These are my brothers, and good friends. Their cutie backside view.
Their mutant looks. From left to right, Jovi, Chino and Oscar.

Jovi and I had the priviledge to go off leashed as we're the more disciplined ones [Wah Sundae! You're very BHB leh. How many times you ran off in search of a cat?], ok, I admit, I did pretend not to hear Mom calling, that's only because she kept threatening me that she'll leash me up! *hurmpf*

Jovi, Enjoying the vast greenery. Look how happy he was! :D

Me walking happily and freely. Heh heh! Aunty J said i looked like a rabbit, hopping around happily.

After exploring part of the park, we came to a large field, good for us to run around and play, but it'll be PERFECT if there are monkeys for us to chase, just like MacRitchie Reservior. Do blame Mom on the bad quality pics!! Making all of us look so bad.

Jovi trying to initiate play with Jordan.

The boys checking out the grassland.

Jordan running back towards Mom, see how he shuts his eyes? The flash is too bright Mom!!

Chino and I, running back to Mom at the mention of "Mum-Mum" [food].

We then headed to Havelock road after about 1.5hrs of hike, let the human fill their stomach before dragging them for another 30mins walk at the mini 1 lane park nearby. Boy did we had fun!

Many a times I tried disobeying Mom's recall in order to get more treats as she tends to give me one when I obey after disobeying. Heh! We dogs do have a way with humans don't we? After a few rounds of the trick, I decided to heel, off leashed! and look up to Mom every 5 seconds, she kept praising me and me treating me until Aunty J told Mom that she was giving in too much! Drats! Mom decided to stopped poping treats into my mouth as she also thinks that I was manupilating her! How complicated can the minds of human get.

Signing off to dreamland now. Tata for now!

Usual Walk - The Carpark

I have been going to the same carpark almost every evening, since Mom shifted here 3years ago. It's a huge carpark, and behind it, links to a mini park cum workout station for the human. I never get bored, even it may be a 10 min short walk on days when Mom's busy.

Jordan running off-leashed in the carpark. The Kuku-boy.
Me on a bench in the park behind the carpark. Say I'm cute... *hiak*hiak*

Jordan again, at the workout station.

Jordan is allowed to go off leashed when we are at the corridor, reason being, he doesnt know how to go up/down the flight of stairs! WHAHAHA.. But, this gave him a benefit, Mom allows him to run upand down the corridor and saying hi to all the neighbours while I don't get the chance! How Bias! Mom don't believe that my recall is almost 100% successful. *pouts* (You broke my trust the day you ran downstairs :P)

Me scolding Jordan when he came back while I was made to sit and stay during his greetin session.

Foodie..Foodie..Foodie!!!

Let's talk about my favourite topic, and that is............ FOOD!!!!

After Snowy left for home, Mom brought the 2 of us down, to the newly opened petshop just 3 blocks away. Initially, she wanted to purchase choke chains and treats, but the items there were so limited. I was sniffing around the shop, THEN a scent attracted me, my favourite MILK flavoured rawhide was within reach, but SILLY Mom keep pulling me away from it, totally ignoring my interest in wanting one. She says it's not healthy, but I think otherwise. Then i went sniffing at some stuffed artificial bones, she gave me the same look + reply and dragged me off the shelf before I could pick the nearest one up! *HUMPF*

In the end, she bought a nail clipper and some raw dehydrated food, she thinks it's the next best thing to the real raw food. This is how it looks like.

And this is how it looked like after adding supplements [Nupro and Solid Gold Seameal] and water.

Sigh, this thing is tasty, but the amount suggested to be fed is a lil too less, but I heard Mom's gonna stock up beef cubes to be added to it. *Jumps with joy*

Mom loves trying out new and healthy food for us. In my opinion, all kinds of food is good for me! So long as it taste nice! In HER opinion, she thinks that BARF [Bones and Raw Food] is best, but due to her LAZINESS (Ahem! TIGHT SCHEDULE) we had to compromise for something of lower grade like KIBBLES. But during our kibbles days, Mom often whip up nice and delicious HomeCookedFood [HCF], let me share some pictures with you dogs out there.

This is LAMB CHOP with scrambled eggs and baby carrots.
We also had Salmon Potatoe ball with Nupro supplement as topping! Haha.

Most of the time, Mom prefers cooking pasta. As you can see, there's Salmon, Eggs, Macaroni, Cottage cheese, Carrots and duck LIVER, finished off with a teaspoonful of Apple Cidar Vinegar. That's what I call a fulfilling hearty meal![The 3rd bowl belongs to Bonzo]

At times when Mom's LAZY to cook for us, and yet could walk 20mins to the outdoor MacDonald's to have breakfast, she would order scrambled eggs for each of us. Here's me gobbling up the scrambled eggs.

Oh ya, Mom's thinking of setting up a pet cafe, and she's pleading me to ask for opinions here, what you dogs think?

A Lazy Sunday

After all the workout yesterday, Mom decides to make us stay at home. She thinks that we looked tired, but I guess it's her that wants to laze at home. Well, guess we'll just have to accept our fate.

Let me share with you what Mom does on a regular basis, I do not like her doing it, but since she's doing it for more allowances for me to spend, I'll just have to accomodate . Here are some hints, try and see if you'll get it right.

They aren't really my friends, that's because I see them once in a while, some, once only.

This English Cocker Spaniel here is Ziggy. He's a real charming man! Mom likes him most as he never gives her problems. He's coming over again on Chinese New Year 2007.

This American Cocker Spaniel here is Snowy. He's a lil Sissy, and he gives and is still giving Mom the most headaches!

Next here is Bonzo! The suspected PRT mixed. He's a darling, except that he loves chewing on things.
Lastly, here's Magic, the abandoned JRT. He was found at the void deck, tied to a pole with a rafia string.

There are many more dogs who had visited, but Mom doesn't have all their pictures. So by now, you should know that she's a dogsitter yea?

Enough of my Hi-Bye friends, now allow me to introduce you my best buddies!!

From left to right, there's Me, Jovi the Jrt, Oscar the Jrt in Silky skin and Chino the Jrt.

More pictures of us...

Look at all the incorrect ears. :X Mom says we take after one another.

Even Jordan has incorrect ears too.

Oscar is missing from the last picture, that's because we're in a game of football! Yes, JRTs VS Humans, and oscar does not like playing football.

Signing off for dinner now.

A Rare Trip

It's been a while since Mom brought us out for fun. Usually we'll head to West Coast Dog Run on Saturday evenings, but today, Mom brought us to Petamart @ Pasir Ris since she had a vehicle. She signed up for the membership few months back, which would entitle us to use the pool facilities. Mom was glad that is a shower point for the dogs, BUT neither me nor Jordan was happy about it.

Here are some pictures to share. (Warning, image intensive)

This is Mom, throwing me into the waters! (Excuse me!! I certainly did not THROW)

This is me swimming. For the countless time Mom, I DO NOT LIKE TO SWIM!!
Trying my best to keep paddling. Can't Mom just sympathize me with those pitiful eyes?
*Evil laughter* This is Jordan. He also got dumped into the pool by Mom. *paddle*paddle*
I want to come outttttttttttt.............

Finally, stand on ground. *shake*shake*shake it all off*

My lil brother is such a disgrace. He goes round getting to know any dogs, can't he have some, errmm... what's that word? Oh well, nevermind.

Yea, I only befriend those that does not look intimidating, even so, I'm very wary about them. Call me a coward, but I ain't gonna risk repeating history which would leave me traumatised once again.

As it was getting dark, Mom brought us to the shower point and got us rinsed! ARGH!! Here's Jordan and me, getting dry.

We had a good time and I was dead tired on the way back home. But the Ku-ku Boy, well that's what Mom calls him, is still active! He deserved that scolding that followed for disturbing my sleep.

That's all for today. Mom's turning in, so am I !!

Loads of licks
